Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra

The Night Blooms World Tour - Sydney Opera House, May 5th, 2026

How soon can you get up to Sydney?

If I leave now, I could be there by 7pm. Good the show starts at 7:30.

When a very last minute opportunity came to photograph the endlessly talented Jeff Goldblum performing with The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House, there was never any question, I was going.

The evening was a delightful mix of jazz, humour, Hollywood stories and movie trivia. Jeff effortlessly moved between piano, singing, and sharing anecdotes from his career, creating a show that felt as intimate as it was entertaining. Even being in such a large venue as the SOH.

It was a masterclass in musicianship, improvisation, and storytelling.

Meeting him afterwards only reinforced what so many people say about him. He was every bit as warm, generous, and genuinely charming in person as I'd hoped, making the experience all the more memorable.

He even sent a message to my wife, who I had left behind at the last minute as I made the three-hour dash to Sydney for the gig. I can’t wait to photograph him again sometime.
