Once again I was able to spend some time with Tim Freedman when he was back in Canberra during his solo tour through NSW and Victoria. It’s always wonderful photographing Tim, each time I find different ways to shoot and capture him and his playing. Can’t wait till next time.

Tim Ferguson - Doug Anthony All Stars
Tim and I first met back in 2010 when we both worked on a theatrical production. We ended up going for beers afterwards with some of my theatre friends. We ended up chatting for hours.
Since that time we have remained friends, catching up whenever we can.
On his most recent trip for his solo show: “Fast Life on Wheels” we finally got around to taking some portrait shots as well as me shooting his gig.

Penny and I spent a morning playing around in a local redwood forrest for a maenads themed shoot.
In Greek mythology maenads were the female followers of Dionysus and the most significant members of the Thiasus, the god's retinue. Their name literally translates as "raving ones".

"Kistren, Dave & B" - Family Shoot
I love these people. They are part of my Urban Family.
Being able to photograph them, just before three became five was wonderful and I thank them for entrusting me to do so. It was definitely a fun afternoon. We took some solo maternity shots of Kirsten after this that I will share in another post.
