Oooooh, First Post.

deviantART, flickr and myspace. I have them all....

And all of them relate to my gig and portait photography. I thought it was about time I get a central site where I can put up a blog of all my photography related expeditions and adventures, along with some of my photos.

(edit. Posts below this one are a selection transferred from my previous blog at deviantART.)

Hopefully I use this site more often and people get as much enjoyment out of looking at some of my photos as I do when I take them.

Thanks for visiting.

Newtons Playground: 7-9 March 2008

This was the first year of a new combined music and extreme sport festival held on Mt Panorama in Bathurst. For most of the weekend the crowds weren't too big however it picked up later in the weekend when Gyroscope and Grinspoon took the stage.

All in all it was a very fun weekend. I drove up with the band TONK. In between shooting bands on and off stage, a lot of my time was spent chatting to the various bands backstage while having a few drinks.

Jinx from the band TONK

Jinx screaming his heart out.

Phil from Grinspoon wouldn't let me take his photo. He insisted he do it instead, holding my camera and sticking his tounge out.

Corinbank Festival: 29/2 - 2/3 2008

The crowd enjoys an impromptu acoustic set from Darren Hanlon. The crew was still busy setting up for future bands so Darren decided to do is set on the grass. A truly memorable thing to see.

The extremely talented and attractive; Kate Miller-Heidke. One of the highlights from the weekend.

"Grace & Morgan" - Photoshoot # 1

Today I had my first ever photoshoot. My friend Grace was kind enough to pose for some photos around town with her friend Morgan. For a first attempt, I think I managed to get some good photos.

Foreshore 2007 - "Mudfest"

Today was the first annual "Forshore Music Festival" on the banks of Lake Burleigh Griffin at Commonwealth Park. I arrived in the morning and the weather was already looking pretty dodgy. Huge black clouds loomed overhead.

Soon after the event started the clouds opened up and dumped a massive amount of water over the crowd, turning what was quite a picturesque location into a scene reminisant of the Glastonbury Festival in the UK.

It did little to deter the die hard fans, people sticking around covered in mud. It really added to the atmosphere of the day with Sneaky Sound System, Fedde Le Grand, Muscles, Switch and Kid Kenobi & MC Shureshock taking to the stage throughout the day. (Amongst many others)
